According to recent statistic sudden cardiac arrest is rapidly becoming the leading cause of death.Basic life support is a level of medical care which is used for victim of life-threatening illness or injuries until they can be given full medical care by advanced life support providers.
By keeping this point of view Manav Rachna University organized an awareness programme on Basic Life Support on 30th November 2021 along with the coordination of Metro Group of Hospital including Metro College of Nursing Greater Noida at the auditorium hall of Manav Rachna University.
The programme was stared around 11:00 am with the inauguration speech by Mr. N.C. Bhadwa V.C. of Manav Rachana University.
Lecture was presented by Dr. Sameer Gupta Consultant, Interventional Cardiology, Metro group of hospital, on Basic life Support. He emphasized on the importance of healthy lifestyle to keep heart healthy, to understand risk factors, symptoms and basic management of heart attack and pulmonary arrest and also why do we need to learn hands on skill related to Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Coordination and Demonstration of hands on skill related to CPR were given by MR. Mahesh Rajput, Assistant Professor and Ms. Neha Dcruz Assistant Professor, Metro College of Nursing.

Handouts related to step of basic life support were provided to participants and also some of the participants were invited to redemonstrate basic life support.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by DR, Priyanka Manav Rachna University.
