Name : Report on National Voter’s Day 2021

In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day". Today’s youth are the future contributor and reformer of the country. So it is their turn to involve themselves by taking active part in the electoral process and to get the eligible voters out of their homes so that they can exercise what is their basic right, the day was started. The theme for this year's National Voters' Day is "Making our voters empowered, vigilant, safe and informed."

Keeping this point of view Metro college of Nursing Greater NOIDA observed National voters’s Day on 25/01/21. The main purpose behind the day was to engage the younger generation which has crossed 18 years of age but is reluctant to be a part of the nation building process. The engagement of youth was considerably low in beginning of the last decade than what it is now.

· Pledge

The prescribed Pledge was taken by all the faculty and students at 11.00 am.

· Debate Competition

Debate competition was organized and the students from nursing and paramedical participated in it. The judges were Mr. Ishwar P, Asst. Professor and Mr. Prashant, Asst. Professor.

· Essay Competition

Students participated in essay competition on the topic “Democracy and Voter’s Participation”.

· Quiz Competition

Quiz competition was also organized as a part National Voter’s Day.
