As a part of MISSION SHAKTI- a programme launched by C.M Yogi Adityanath to ensure safety of women in the state. In this regard Metro College of Health Sciences & Research (MCN and MCP) made a platform for an awareness talk by Sub Inspector Ms. Ankush, Ms. Preeti and team; Knowledge Park Police station Greater NOIDA on 2nd March 2021.

Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education, Prof. Pranati Barua, Principal, Mr. Devendra Singh, administrator, Mr. Gaurav Sethi, H.R Manager, the entire female faculty and the students attended the awareness talk.
Ms. Preeti briefed on the highlights of the programme
•    Mission Shakti has been launched with an aim to reduce crime against women in Uttar Pradesh by spreading awareness on women safety and dignity.
•    Provision of separate room for women complainants in all the Police stations.
•    The women complainants are attended by female constables.
•    They have conveyed all the possible wand means through which women safety need to be confirmed also give slogan “Darna nahi hai, Sehana nahi hai”
•    A women help line number i.e. 1090 for redressal of harassment of women.

Dr. Kanak Lata, emphasised on women safety and expressed the view that female should not fear and tolerate any kinds of disrespect, violence, harassments etc, whether they are at home, workplace/campus or public places.
The team interacted with one to one students and enquired about any sort of harassment they are facing or have faced and encourage the students to complaint about the same.     
The session ended after the concluding meeting with  higher officials of Metro College of Nursing and Metro College of Pharmacy.
