Metro College of Nursing celebrated World Breastfeeding Week on 7 of August 2023. The theme for World Breastfeeding Week 2023
is '" Enabling Breastfeeding Making a Difference For Working Parents". The department of Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing and OBG Nursing organised a health education programme at Spark Minda Corporation Private Limited, Tusyana, Greater Noida to create awareness regarding breastfeeding among working parents, its importance and techniques and as part of this visit students conducted role-play related to breastfeeding and its importance. Also feeding brassieres were distributed to antenatal mothers.
This programme helped to enhance the knowledge and skills regarding breastfeeding, view breastfeeding positions as normal, and also to develop a positive attitude towards breastfeeding.
