Orientation program in any academic organization is an event which every student eagerly awaits from their day of admission. Orientation program for the newly admitted B. Sc (Nursing) students of (2019-20) sessions was organized on 1st August 2019. The program was formally started by lamp lighting and invocation song at 11.45 am. Students and their parents were formally welcomed and introduced to the culture of the college. Followed by this the welcome speech was given Prof.Pranati Barua, Principal, Metro college of nursing and emphasized the role of a Nurse in the Health Care Delivery system.
After this the Director Education Dr.kanak Lata has given the special keynote speech and highlighted the need of persistent planning and execution strategies of at various levels (Students, faculties and parents) to achieve the academic vision targeted. Followed by this detailed exploratory session of Metro college of Health sciences & Research (MCHSR) and its parent hospitals were given by Ms.Clarice Adeline, Nursing Tutor, MCN. All the teaching and non-teaching staff were given their introduction note regarding their professional profile.  Followed by this I Year B.Sc(N) students given their introduction and collected their B.Sc(N) program kit containing all the subjects books and required stationeries provided by MCN.
And all the senior members from administration and academics have showered their blessings to the students.
 The program was ended up with vote of thanks by 1:45pm which followed by a special lunch provided to all students, parents and faculties in MCHSR dining hall by the college.
After lunch the campus tour was facilitated by the program coordinator where student volunteers of senior batch also helped to carry out this activity.
