Started by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Government of India in 2008, The National Girl Child Day is celebrated on January 24 every year. This Year Ministry of Women and Child Development is promoting 5th Anniversary of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign .
Public health contributes much for the development of a Nation. As a part of the campaign like ‘Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao’ which addresses issues like stop female foeticide, girls’ right to education and many more, an awareness programme in the form of Nukkad Natak and Rally was organised by Metro College of Nursing, Greater Noida on National Girl Child Day, on 24th January, 2020.
The Community Health Nursing Department organised this event by involving students in the awareness campaigns by conducting Nukked Natak and Rally which emphasized on Girls’ right to education and Stop Female foeticide in order to create a mass awareness for changing the mindset of people. The Rally started from CHC- Bisrakh covering the whole Bisrakh Village followed by a Nukkad Natak performed by the students.
