TNAI is an organization working solely for the benefit and advancement of nurses. Currently has nearly 4,00,000 membersfrom clinical nursing service, nursing education and research, nursing administration and public health, central and state government institutions including premier national institutes, military nursing service, ESI, railways and also private, voluntary and corporate sectors.
Metro College of Nursing had participated in XXIX SNAINational Virtual Conference held on 21.1.2022and22.1.2022. More than 65,000SNAI/TNAI members had participated in the virtual conference, among these the students and the faculty participated from our collegewere approximately 80 students from two batches (B.Sc. III years and GNM II year) and around 10 teachers participated in the conference virtually. The theme of conference was Safe abortion values, evidence and rights/respect.On 21.1.2022 program was started at 9:50 am with an invocation song sung by one of the final year B.Sc. student Miss. Babita of our college along with her group mates followed by a welcome dance.The overall conference was moderated by Mr. Ajinas A M, Assistant Secretary General TNAI. The welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Evelyn P. Kannan, Secretary General, TNAIPresidential address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Roy K. George, National President, TNAI. Message from Honorable M. Venkaiah Naidu Vice President of India was read by Mrs. Sanghamitra Sawant, Assistant Secretary – General TNAI.State Branch report was read by different branches SNA President and Vice Presidents. On this prestigious occasion, theconference administrations have conducted Poster presentation.The first session ended with remarkable cultural performances, single and double singing partners, followed by the scientific paper presentation which was presented by many SNA members from different nursing colleges.
Second day program was started with Live Quiz competition, concept mapping and prize distribution ceremony. Message from the Honorable Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India was read by Mrs. Evelyn P. Kannan, Secretary General, TNAI. Conference started at 9:50 am, more than 170 students participated in each category of poster presentation. Live quiz competition was conducted including 10 participants each from different college.The quiz had overall six rounds which was moderated by Mr. Biju Velayudhan. Virtually the winners and the runner ups were awarded prizes of all the competitions namely the Quiz competition, poster competition and concept mapping. The conference aspired a captivating experience for all the participants. The delegates shared their feedback online regarding the conference and had shown their gratitude towards host, branch and SNA executives.
Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. S. Vatchala Dhinakaran, Assistant Secretary General TNAI. The virtual conference successfully ended with a National Anthem.
