Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and economic identity. The official journey of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” commences on 12th March, 2021 which starts a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence and will end post a year on 15th August, 2023.
OBJECTIVE: -
The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an intensive, country wide campaign which will focus on citizen participation, to be converted into a 'Janandolan', where small changes at the local level, will add up to significant national gains.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration was organized by Metro College of Nursing, Greater Noida U.P. Eventsorganized were poster, quiz and rangoli competitions on 15th, 16th and 17th of December 2021 respectively.
VARIOUS ACTIVITIES WERE PLANNED AND CONDUCTED
ACTIVITY 1: - POSTER COMPETITION
An initiative was taken by the students in order to participate in the competition on 15th December 2021. The competition started at 10 AM and ended by 12 PM. A duration of 2 hours was given to complete the poster. At 12 PM the evaluators Mrs. Sneha Mathew,faculty MCN and Mr. Mahesh Kumar,faculty MCN had announced the winners for the poster competition. Ms. Shivani Kumari baggedthe first position, Ms. Shivani secured the second position and Ms. Alka was at the third positionfrom GNM II year.
ACTIVITY 2: - QUIZ COMPETITION
On 16th December 2021, students participated in the quiz competition, it started around 10 AM and ended by 12 PM. For the quiz competition the quiz master Ms. Neha D’cruz,faculty MCN had divided three teams namely A, B and C along with 4 rounds namely the passing round, rapid fire round, buzzer round and audio-visual round. At the end,the quiz scorers Ms. Sweta,faculty MCN and Mr. Faizal,faculty MCN calculated the scores of all the three teams namely team A, B, C and handed over the scores to the evaluators Mr. Muzaffar,faculty MCN and Mr. Vinit,faculty MCN. The evaluators had announced the results team C (Murtuza and Neha) won the first prize, team B (Adarsh and Fatima) won the second prize and team A (Kanika and Priya Sisodiya) from B.Sc. Nursing II year got the third prize.
ACTIVITY 3: - RANGOLI COMPETITION
On 17th December 2021 Rangoli competition was been scheduled. The competition was started at 9 AM with a slogan and a song that inspired Indians to seek Independence from British Colonial rule -‘Vandemataram’. The title Vandemataram means “I praise to motherland, Mother”. It was followed by the rangoli competition, Ms. Sakshi Sood faculty MCN, coordinated with the students and successfully completed the rangoli competition within 2 hours. The evaluators Mr. Gaurav Sethi, Head HR, MCHSR along with Ms. Shivani Rai Sharma,faculty MCN, announced the winners. Group D (Raj Rani, Bharti & Reena) bagged the first prize, group B (Anjali, Shivani & Sanjana) was awarded the second and group F (Ajay, Pankaj, Shivani &Nikita) got the third prize.
CONCLUSION
On the concluding day that is on 17th December 2021 the event was started with the introductory speechon the Chauri Chaura movement by Mr. Mahesh kumar, faculty MCN.He has thrown some light on the importance of the history of the national movement.
The event was further proceeded by someencouraging words on patriotism by Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education, MCHSR. Madam had concluded by stating that a little hope goes a long way by saying this she added when we know better, we do better. We can help our students do better by helping them stay motivated and thereby before winding up, the results of the competitions were declared to the students and their hard work was appreciated she also expressed her gratitude towards the faculties for caring about the student’s achievements and for contributing enthusiastically.
