Fresher’s Party

For B.Pharm&D.Pharm Students (2022-23)

“The Euphoria Meet”

Metro College of Health Sciences & Research, organized a Fresher’s Party (The Euphoria Meet) on 10^th November 2022 to welcome the new batch of B. PHARM (2022-26) & D. PHARM (2022-24). The fresher’s day was named as “RETRO BOLLYWOOD” thus celebrating individuality and distinctiveness. The theme also aimed to encourage students to explore their passion and calling in life.The fresher’s day is filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.

 The purpose of the Fresher’s Party was to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of the MCHSR family and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead and to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence.“Fresher’s Day” in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from their time of admission.  It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college.

The program was organized with the support and encouragement of honorableDr. Sonia Lal Gupta, MD MCHSR, Director Metro Group of Hospitals Dr. Kanak Lata, Director-Education, in the presence of the dignitaries, Dr. Praveen K. Gaur, Principal, MCHSR, Prof. Pravin Prakash, Principal MCN, Prof. Sneha Mathew, Dean Student Welfare, Mr. Gaurav Sethi, Head HR-Admin MCHSR, faculty members and students.

The celebration started at 10:00 am at the Pharmacy Seminar Hall. The program began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and by performing the Ganesh Vandana. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Praveen Kumar Gaur (Principal), Mr. Gaurav Sethi (HR & Admin), Prof Sneha Mathew (Dean Student Welfare- MCN) and all faculty members. The session was anchored by Dr. Rosaline Mishra (Professor)&Ms. Sakshi Minocha (Assistant Professor), Ms. Payal, Mr. Himanshu from B.Pharm2^nd year. The program was initiated with the blessing of our respected MD, Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta. She encouraged the students to take part in various activities apart from academics. She also emphasized about the true meaning of cultural events as well as teamwork which is required for such event organization.

Freshers along with their seniors got chance to showcase their talent by a stunning Ramp walk, drama, various dance performances like solo, Duo, Group dances, singing, mimicry, poetry and motivational speech. Later small games were organized to make the function trickier and fun. Refreshments were served in between the program.
During party, various competitions were organised and panel of judges comprising of Dr. Rosaline Mishra (Professor), Ms. Harsha Sagar (Assistant Professor), MCHSR selected the successful winners amongst the contestants. The selection of Mr. and Ms. Fresher was based on the introduction given, Outfit, Overall Appearance, Talent round, Task given and final “Questionnaire Round”. The contestants had to prove that they were persons with beauty and brains and had the presence of mind and confidence to not only give the correct answers but also to communicate their thoughts properly and effectively and winners were as follows:

 All the winners were awarded by the Dr.Praveen K. Gaur, Principal, MCHSR and it was a great moment for all the winners. Further the winner certificates of Event Club were distributed by Dr. Praveen K. Gaur,(Principal).

At the end, it was for the freshers and seniors to rock the fresher party by tapping their feet on peppy musical tracks. Overall, the event was a grant success and a happy moment for MCHSR family.

Vote of Thanks

Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Hashim (Assistant Professor) from to all especially to the Honorable Management of MCHSR, Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, Managing Director Madam and Dr. Kanak Lata, Director-Education for their support to organize the program. Vote of thanks was also conveyed to Dr. Praveen Kumar Gaur (Principal), members of cultural committee, participants and all teaching and non-teaching staff members of MCHSR organizing the session and to make this event successful.
