The College's orientation program for Pharmacy Students is designed to support new students as they begin their journey at Metro College of Health Sciences &Research (MCHSR). We aim to create opportunities and offer experiences that are directly informed by the educational philosophy and practices of the College, and through which students will be able to engage their passions, challenge their beliefs. Under the guidance of our Chairman, Dr. Purushotam Lal, Managing Director Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, an orientation program- SARTHAK-2K19-20 was organized on dated 3rd August, 2019. The aim was to familiarize "live together well" with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the college.
The program commenced with a warm welcome to the students followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Maa Saraswati Vandana. Mr. Nirdosh Kumar, senior assistant, District excise office, Gautambudh Nagar was invited as a chief guest. He addressed the students and explained various narcotic drugs schedule in his speech. Principal Dr. Surendra Lalwani blessed the new comers with guidelines about effective parenting. He also suggested different measures to nurture the child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future. Director education, Dr. Kanak Lata, addressed the gathering. In her speech she laid stress on effective communication between the teachers & the parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the best technical education for their overall development to win cutting edge competition in future. She also gets introduced Metro Group and their achievements; whole staff one by one and their role with their contribution.
General Manager Operation & chief secretary Mr. Jasimul Haque showered the blessings and overviewed the rules and regulation of AICTE and PCI and instructed to follow strictly. Mr. U. K. Koul, administrator has given the guidelines to the students regarding anti-ragging rules, regulation and help line numbers.
The parents and students were briefed about the rules and regulations of college by Prof. Sameer Rastogi. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Jennifer Gay. The orientation program proved to be sincere efforts made by the college in educating the parent’s to look after and guide their children in a proper manner to achieve the common goal of college and parent.
