Metro College of Health Sciences & Research has organized the hospital visit for D. Pharm. students on 4 May 2019 in the Metro Group of Hospital. Dr. Kanika Kanwar (Dept. DMO) addressed the students and showered the blessings to the students for bright future. Mr. Jasimul Haque, Chief Secretary and senior manager operation, blessed the students. Mr. Rajeev Tyagi (Pharmacy head), and Mrs. Namreeta Desai arranged the visit on each floor of the hospital personally and explained each and everything about the different departments of the hospital. The students has visited all important dept. in the hospital like ICU & OT, Pediatrics, labor and Neuroscience, Respiratory dept. Liver & gastro General ward, Emergency ward and OPD & IPD.
Mr. Sudheer Chaudhary and Mr. Aslam (Pharmacy in charge) explained about the working of OPD & IPD Pharmacy of the hospital to the students and explained the various dosage forms which were available in the drug store of both OPD and IPD also various channels involving to the drug distribution from central store to the patient. Storage of medicines explained in a better ways with examples i.e on room temperature should be 25o C and 2-5o belongs to deep freezer interactive session between them regarding drug cause, drug interaction and drug action, same sound and same looking medicines but different contents wise, Mr. Chaudhary has briefed about pharmacist plays an important role and he/she is the heart of hospital as they interact with doctors, nurses, drug supplier, medical representatives etc.
All the students were actively participated along with Principal Dr. Surendra Lalwani and staff members Ms. Jennifer gay, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Khare and Mr. Saurabh Shrivastav. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Surendra Lalwani.
