Metro College of Health Sciences & Research organized “Motivational Guest Lecture on the topic PHARMACIST: FROM BENCH TO BEDSIDE” on 17thDecember 2021by the eminent guest speaker Prof.(Dr.)Vijay Bhalla, who is currently designated as the Principal, SGT College of Pharmacy, SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana.
Prof. (Dr.)Vijay Bhalla has over 16 years of Academic experience and he has served with pharmaceutical Multinational Organization in various capacities for 18 years with Upjohn,Unichem,Ciab Geigy,Sandoz & Novartis.
The aim of the guest lecture series is to equip students with the latest theories and practices in the modern Pharmacy world. He began the lecture by stating a quote “PHARMACIST: FROM BENCH TO BEDSIDE”. According to him if one is believing in herself/ himself and is willing to take the risk, then she/ he can achieve any milestone in the career.
He informed the students regarding How to become a Competent Pharmacist. He also Demonstrated about the Top companies in the Domestic Formulation Industry (FY 21) and give an overview on Top 40 brands of selling products and how to do a good patient counselling regarding drug based by pharmacist. Further, he also elucidated about various career prospects in Pharmacy Profession and also given an overview on Pharmacy Regulations regarding the Education and Drugs.
Students were made to sit keeping in mind the social distancing in seminar hall. Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education, MCHSR and Dr. Sameer Rastogi,Vice Principal,MCHSR present a token of love to our guest of honour Dr.Vijay Bhalla.
It was a very informative and interactive session where students came to know about the career choices.
Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Kanak Lata, Director of Education to the eminent speaker Dr.Vijay Bhalla, Dr.Sameer Rastogi to the organizing and advisory committee for their coordination ano entire faculty and students of MCHSR for the success of this event. Vote of thanks was also conveyed to Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education for her consistent guidance and support.

The lecture was of great success. This will certainly equip students with the latest theories and practices in the modern Pharmacy world and prepare themselves for the upcoming challenges in their professional life.
