Today sports have become an integral part of our upbringing. The sports and games helps in large muscle coordination resulting in physical fitness apart from inculcating sportsmanship, unity and a competitive spirit among students. Creating teamwork, discipline and leadership are one of the visions of our respected Managing Director, Dr Sonia Lal Gupta and to cultivate these among the students.
Metro College of Health Sciences & Research (MCHSR) hosted the annual sports event, SPORTS FIESTA 2024 on April 16-19, 2024. The event was filled with great enthusiasm, team spirit, energy and zeal and started with the formal lighting of the flame by Dr. Kanak Lata, Director Education-MCHSR, Dr. Praveen Kumar Gaur, Principal-MCHSR, and Dr. Krishan Kumar Verma, Vice Principal-MCHSR and other dignitaries, followed by March Past. The students were divided into four houses-Red, Blue, White and Yellow. Various sports events were conducted during the sports week such as Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Chess, Carrom, Tug of war and Track Races like 100m, 200m, lemon race, sack race and leg tie race for students. All students participated with great team spirit and won medals and certificates. The championship trophy was won by Red House based on highest medal tally. The sports week at MCHSR has showcased a plethora of fitness activities that helped in the overall development of students
