Metro College of Health Sciences & Research (MCHSR), Department of Pharmacy had organized Orientation Program for newly admitted students of Bachelor of Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy at institute MCHSR premises on11th December, 2020. Program has been done keeping social distancing norms in mind. Students were formally welcomed and introduced to the culture of the MCHSR. The orientation began with a lamp lightening ceremony as a tribute to mother goddess Saraswati: Goddess of knowledge. A brief description of the institute, which included the motto, history and reputation of college along with recent achievements, was given by the anchor Ms. Jyoti Chandra (Assistant Professor, MCHSR). Students were addressed by Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education, where she showered the blessings on behalf of the Founder Dr.Purshotam Lal, Madam Punam Lal and our Managing Director Dr.Sonia Lal Gupta and highlighted the importance of education in life and responsibility towards society as an educated person. In her speech she designated faculty and students as two different teams working towards a common goal, Dr. SurendraLalwani, Principal and Dr. Sameer Rastogi, Vice-Principal, MCHSR, also welcomed the students and expressed their delight over student’s presence in college campus. They made students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring their participation.
Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm and shared their exciting experiences of college life. Students also expressed their love and gratitude to the faculty members.
College Bags, Face Mask and Chocolates were distributed to the students in the end of the program as a kind gesture.
Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Jyoti Chandra, Assistant Professor, MCHSR to all, especially to Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, MD, MCHSR, Dr. Kanak Lata, Director of Education fortheir support to organize this program. Vote of thanks was also conveyed to Principal Dr. SurendraLalwani, Vice-PrincipalSameer Rastogiand all faculty members of MCHSR organizing the sessionand to make this event successful.
