A Brief Report On World No Tobacco
Day program
Tobacco growing, manufacturing and use poison our water,
soil, beaches and city streets with chemicals, toxic waste, cigarette butts, including
micro plastics, and e-cigarette waste The tobacco industry is making profit by
destroying the environment.
Tobacco kills over 8 million people every year and
destroys our environment, further harming human health, through the
cultivation, production, distribution, consumption, and post consumer waste. World No Tobacco Day (WNTD)
is observed around the world every year on 31 May.
Metro college of health Sciences and
research organized World No Tobacco
day 2022” on 31/05/2022 at Shafipur Village and MMG Hospital Ghaziabad.
During the program awareness rally and health talk on harmful effect of tobacco
on human health and environment was given to the general public of Shafipur
Village. Also role play, poster and slogan competition was organized at MMG
Hospital Ghaziabad. The day was concluded by taking Oath for Quit tobacco by
the all faculty and Student of metro College of Nursing and Pharmacy at college
Campus.
OBJECTIVES :-

To create awareness and education about harmful effects of
tobacco on human health and environment
●
To motivate villagers and patients and their relatives to
quit tobacco use.
