Newness or novelty has been intriguing and fascinating to man. Novelty brings an excitement, surprise, science, cheerfulness, joy, hope, happiness, boldness, positivity and passion. Metro College of Health Sciences and Research had organized an “Official Introduction” for 1st year students on 6th February, 2021. MCHSR had also celebrated the “National Road Safety Month” on the same day on the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, that has decided to observe Road Safety Month from 18th January, 2021 to 17th February, 2021. This event was an effort to make sure that new students get to know their seniors so that they can contact them when they have problem and to make them more comfortable with the college environment.
The program was convened by Ms. Jyoti Chandra, Assistant Professor. The event was started with the formal welcoming of students followed by lamp lightening ceremony as a tribute to Mother Saraswati: Goddess of Knowledge. The program moved forward with the blessings of Director of Education, Dr. Kanak Lata.
The main attraction of the event was Nukkadnatak on road safety played by B. Pharm 1st year students to teach road safety rules. Mr. Balveer Singh, Traffic Sub-Inspector also taught various safety rules and regulations.Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm and introduced them one by one and shared their exciting experiences of college life.
Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Jyoti Chandra, Assistant Professor, MCHSR to all especially to Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, MD, MCHSR, Dr. Kanak Lata, Director Education for support to organize the program. Vote of thanks was also conveyed to Principal Dr. Surendra Lalwani and Vice-principal and all faculty members of MCHSR the eminent faculty members for organizing the session and to make this event a successful.
